Support Gayle for
Mayor of Richmond in 2006

I am a Richmond city council member.
I was elected after the 2004 financial debacle.

I am a community educator,
a member of a working family,
a social justice advocate,
an environmentalist,
a pragmatist with a vision.

I will only work for you.
I accept no corporate campaign money.
I am beholden to no one.

I know that violence can be ended.
Resources exist to fund prevention,
services and public safety.

I have the courage to do what it takes.

I propose
that we work to end violence by solving its root causes
that we expand the city library, build new branches and fully open our community centers
that we create a Richmond Youth Corp to employ thousands of our youth year round
that we invest in improving our neighborhoods rather than building on our open shorelines
that we protect our residents from toxics and pollution
that we support small businesses and after school programs
that we use wisely every dollar collected from the taxpayers
that we end perks, tax exemptions and giveaways to corporations like Chevron
that we build a Better Richmond

I am Running for a Better Richmond! Run with Me!
