The Richmond Progressive Alliance (RPA)

The Richmond Progressive Alliance (RPA) is an alliance of Progressive Democrats, Greens and independents coming together in progressive unity for a better and healthier Richmond, California.

Our mission is:

to create a space for public discussion of issues affecting Richmond
to propose solutions and ideas to address Richmond problems (platform)
to expand grassroots organizing in Richmond to demand change
to endorse progressive candidates running for City Council

Our objectives are to:

1. Restore Democratic Health
2. Develop Financial Health
3. Regain Environmental Health & Safety
4. Strengthen Social Justice
5. Bring Joy and Pride to Richmond

The RPA focus

Our focus is community civics education and progressive thinking promotion.

The RPA is a registered as common interest partnership and has two officers, to be re-elected every two years by an open meeting of people who have participated until that time. The RPA shall have a board of directors with two members.

The first RPA officers are Malía Everette and Roberto Reyes. The board of directors of the RPA invites to its monthly meetings individuals and representatives of progressive groups active in Richmond (and elsewhere), as they see it fit to continue creating the opportunities and venues for the four goals listed in section 1.
