Gayle's 2007 Mayoral State of the City Address
Two months after being being sworn in as Mayor, Gayle presents her evaluation of where Richmond is today to the Richmond City Council and public, and how she plans to deal with these issues.

 


January 5, 2007:

Gayle's Mayoral Address
After taking her Mayoral oath of office, Gayle addresses over 500 people who packed the council chamber and two large overflow tents with TV monitors in the chamber parking lot. She asked residents to make a greater commitment to solving the city's most critical problem: chronic violence.

 

March 5, 2006:
Gayle announces her candidacy for Mayor of Richmond.

Addressing an overflow crowd at the Richmond Memorial Convention Center's Catalina Room, Gayle presents and discusses her campaign platform objectives.

February 23, 2004:
Gayle addresses a standing-room only joint RPA and Kucinich for President forum at the Richmond Memorial Convention Center.

January 31, 2004:
Gayle announces her candidacy for Richmond City Council at a the first RPA public forum.

Supporters filled the Richmond Library's Madeline F. Whittlesey Community Room to hear why Gayle decided to run for office.
